Annual Required Training
The FY23 All Employee Required Training deployment period will run from Sept. 15至12月. 8, 2022
All continuing employees will automatically be enrolled and receive an email regarding training access; training is delivered through Canvas.
It is the responsibility of each employee to complete annual required training. Employees who do not complete the training by the deadline will not have met their job expectations.
Supervisors are responsible for monitoring their employees’ training completion. Employees should provide their supervisor with a copy of their Training Completion Certificate.
To meet state and federal requirements as well as university policy, all regular faculty and staff, temporary faculty and staff, and student employees (including grad students) with appointments lasting longer than three months must successfully complete annual training on specific topics.

Why do we need to take the training annually?
All employees are required to take annual training as part of the University of Idaho’s Compliance Program.
Groundswell: Harassment, Discrimination Prevention & 第九条: Annual training is mandated for specific employees through the Clery Act and is an accepted best practice for all employees. 另外, the Idaho State Board of Education policy states that all employees “shall receive training pertaining to 第九条 and the institution’s 第九条 policy.”
多样性, Equity and Inclusion for the Workplace: In 2019, the State of Idaho Division of Human 资源 published a Respectful Workplace Policy. 根据本政策, state agencies are expected to provide employees Respectful Workplace training within 30 days of hire, and annually thereafter.
Fire 安全 in the Workplace: The International Fire Code, as adopted by the State of Idaho, requires employees to be trained in fire prevention, 疏散, and fire safety as part of new employee orientation and not less than annually thereafter (Section 406).
IT 安全 Awareness: Idaho Executive Order 2017-02 requires annual training commensurate with the highest level of information access.
Conflicts of Interest or Commitment: Identify and Report: Part of the periodic training for all employees supported by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners - Annual Report 2016, Idaho State Board of Education and Human 资源.
